My first impression when I opened the box was Wow this looks beautiful!
Then, to find it so we’ll set up and perfectly playable straight out of the box was another bonus. The finish on this bass is lovely, and it sounds amazing.
Intonation spot on out of the box. I’ve spent a lot more money on basses nowhere near as good as this. Oh, and the usual friendly and efficient service from Thomman.

How can I start reviewing this bass? For the price its up there with MIM Fender Precision basses and im my honest opinion, it might be even better.
The neck is, as everyone says, out of this world. Roasted maple, rolled edges, fretwork is buttery smooth, glossy finish. A joy to play on and it feels like a neck from an instrument that has been played for the last 10 years. Surreal and supreme.
The finish is pretty good. I have some minor cosmetic flaws, but at this price point cannot complain. The color of the sunburst is amazing. Pick guard is OK.
The pickup, while a bight bright, produces a great P bass tone, so no complaints there. One of the pots ( the tone ) was a bit dusty and it scratches a little bit, but hey, this is pretty common with all instruments.
The instrument comes in a good state, set up wise, from the factory. Of course you can lower the action even more, but its perfectly playable. Intonation out of the box is spot on.
If you are in the market for a great P bass, look no further. This is the ultimate instrument that is antagonizing basses with 2x the price tag.

A good bass for practice

I ordered this bass because I was looking for a p-bass that's not too expensive.
It is a well made instrument, good for practicing, but in my opinion the sound is poor. I have tried the active version which is perfect for the money IMHO.
I believe that with a good pickup this bass can be a solid choice that can be used professionally.
