While the LR Baggs Lyric guitar pickup delivers a beautiful sound, I unfortunately received a defective unit. This speaks to the low quality and lack of care put in by the manufacturer in a very expensive and high-end product. The issue, noticeable crackling sounds when the product is active, arose in less than 20 days after installation and receipt. Seeking assistance from Thomann, I was offered an apparently good solution. Instead of a straightforward return, I was suggested to purchase a new unit, have it replaced by a luthier, and then receive a refund upon return of the defective item. This was ok, even if it was not my fault I was ok with paying the luthier once for this work, spending 25 euros. However, during this time, the price of the product had increased by 25 euros. This meant I had to bear the additional cost, equivalent to the luthier's fee (making all the process equivalent to go to the luthier twice: 25 euros to remove the defected product and then 25 euros to install the new one). Thomann refused to discount the price of the new product. Consequently, I ended up paying 50 euros extra (for the new pickup purchase and luthier replacement), amounting to a 20% increase in cost for this product due to LR Baggs' incompetence and Thomann's disregard for its loyal customers. I will not be making any further purchases from them. And I have purchased the new Lyric from a different shop
