Great console light but a bit expensive

Working with various console lights over the years this one truly stands out. From great light output, changing the color towards red when dimming, only red "sleep" light, to small illuminated logo - these all show a great attention to detail and understanding what we really need out in the field.

The only con I can think of is the price which is a bit high - but on the other hand you get the great lamp that's advertised.

A flop for the Erica Synths Megarack

This was recommended to me for the Erica Synths Megarack, so I bought two thinking the high price would be warranted by the quality. First impressions were that they were very heavy and looked well built. All was well till I plugged them into the sockets atop my Megarack case. They seemed to work, but weren't throwing a great deal of light out. On closer inspection not all the LED's were lit. I contacted Littlite and they said the lamps were probably not receiving enough voltage. Not the fault of the lamp, but very annoying. The second problem is the lack of an on/off button the lamps. The lamps are on day and night because they can't be switched off during the day. I ended up getting frustrated with them and removing them altogether. Unfortunately I had a stroke around this time so I was unable to return them, so I'm now stuck with two expensive but unusable lamps. In summary, the lamps are NOT compatible with the Megarack, and the lack of an on/off button at this price bracket is for me, unforgivable.

I Love this lamp. It is small enough not to get in the way, but bright enough to see the whole desk. If the brightness control of the desk is less than 70% the lamp is red and the glow from it is perfect most of the time, if you go above 70% it turns bright white, bright enough to light the surrounding table up. And if you fold it in half it fits in a radio mic pouch. This has been the perfect lamp for my Behringer X32.

An ideal console light for the Behringer X32 desk. As there is only one light connector on the desk, an 18" gooseneck is a necessity, and I think that makes Littlite your only choice.

The combination of red & white LEDs gives a warm but bright light, not that different from a filament bulb source. Obviously well thought out.

If I was to make any minor criticism, it would be to suggest a slightly deeper hood around the light source, to prevent too much escaped light beyond the desk.

Bought for Behringer wing which has a bit of an overhang over the xlr power socket. 18", would have bought longer if available. Not the lights fault. These are the best lights on the market, my others that are LED are still going strong 10 years later.
