The second Küng garklein

This is the second Küng Studio garklein we've bought. The first one is 1108 in rosewood.
I can only copy-paste the general findings from my first review. »The instrument is, as the name implies, small. Through a clever, slightly diagonal design of the tone holes it fits my daughters’ hands perfectly. Even I (a large adult male) can play it, but some practice would be needed to close holes reliably each and every time.
The tone of the instrument is loud, clear, and surprisingly stable. Intonation is accurate. The lowest tones are much easier to play than it’s usual for majority of baroque or baroque inspired instruments. It results in the limited range (an octave and a sixth) of the instrument. It can be debated whether this is a drawback or not. Ears of everyone in a hearing distance may indeed be quite thankful.«
On the other hand, I can now amend the first review where I wrote that »overtones that are generally characteristic for rosewood instruments aren’t all that obvious«. Well, there is a distinct difference between the 1106 in palisander and 1108 in rosewood with clearly more overtones with the latter one.
I can also reiterate my previous statements on good finish and practical soft case.

Sehr schönes Instrument

Die Flöte sieht super aus, hat eine leichte Ansprache und einen
schönen, nicht zu schrillen Klang. Habe auch noch das Modell in Ahorn gekauft und bin sehr zufrieden

Uma flauta divertida com estabilidade sonora em todos os registos (o que foi uma surpresa para mim). Difícil de tocar para aqueles com dedos grandes
