Knosti Spare Kit

Bought this a year or so ago. Thought I´d give this Knosti a go for my record cleaning, and I already had the Spin-Clean, so I was expecting miracles with this item. And right I was.

The main reason for I wanted to try this out was the brushes that comes with the Knosti. They are made of goat hair, and its said that they are able to remove more grit from the grooves, that the softer brushes that come with the mentioned Spin-clean. Its really hard to tell whether they actually do this, and my impression of the records pre- and post cleaning with this item, is that it manages to remove the more heavy grit and dust, but stand no chance with deep cleaning. That is a far too tall order for this item. In order to get your records thoroughly pristine, you have to go with an ultrasonic bath. I give 3 stars, because you get a clean for your records, although it´s more of a light clean. Don't expect it to bring a totally new life to the sound of the records you clean, but its totally alright for maintaining your vinyl records in adequate condition.

J'ai acheté ce kit pour les pièces de rechange et l'ai finalement adapté à ma Knosti "de base".

L'usage de la manivelle apporte un confort et une efficacité notable par rapport à la Knosti de base.
La manivelle rempli bien son rôle malgré son aspect fragile. Si on change de sens de rotation pendant le lavage il faut simplement prendre la précaution d'effectuer le premier quart de tour en sens inverse à la main avant de poursuivre avec la manivelle.

Les joints sont inutiles:
* Ils sont difficiles à monter correctement. Il faut appuyer très, très fort pour les insérer dans leurs logements. Leur diamètre est légèrement supérieur au logement (preuve d'une conception saine) qui ajoute à la difficulté de montage. Une chose est sûre: ils vont bien tenir en place une fois montés ... pour celles et ceux qui y parviendront. Ces joints devraient être livrés montés.
* Ils retiennent le fluide en périphérie et augmentent ainsi l'humidification de l'étiquette. En comparaison, les étiquettes sont moins humides sans les joints !
* Ils empêchent le desserrage aisé des flasques. L'usage de gants en caoutchouc est souvent nécessaire. Surprenant.

joints = fiasco. Raison de la note moyenne faible, car pour le reste ce kit est intéressant.
