Mixer per iPhone fenomenale
Antonio Borrelli 03.09.2024

A Swiss Army Knife for the Modern Musician's Gig Bag
Sagameister 11.09.2025
As a gigging guitarist, I'm always looking to solve problems in my setup. The Joyo MoMix has been a revelation, acting as the perfect instrument sub-mixer and audio toolkit for my duo. Its audio quality is pristine for live work and demos, and its price point feels perfectly justified.

My Main Use Case:
My primary goal was to solve the "not enough inputs" problem. My singer and I run our vocal mics directly into my Positive Grid Spark Live, which is a fantastic amp but has a limited number of channels. The MoMix is the elegant solution.

I now run my electric guitar into one of its instrument inputs and my acoustic-electric into the other. This lets me dial in the volume and tone for both guitars on the MoMix itself, creating a perfectly blended stereo signal. I then send that single output from the MoMix into an available channel on the Spark Live. It essentially turns my amp into a multi-channel PA for our duo, giving me dedicated, hands-on control over the entire guitar mix.

Unexpected Versatility:
What started as a live tool has quickly integrated into all parts of my musical life:

Rehearsal: It's a brilliant silent practice tool for my guitars. The direct monitoring feature lets me plug in headphones and hear a latency-free mix.

Recording: For capturing ideas, it doubles as a simple USB audio interface. The audio quality is clean and clear, making it perfect for high-quality demo recordings and scratch tracks. While it's not designed to be a pro-level studio preamp for a final album master, its performance is more than capable for pre-production, songwriting sessions, and online content creation.

Expansion: I'm now routing backing tracks from my phone into the stereo Line In on the MoMix, blending them with my guitars before sending it all to the amp.

The Only Catch (and why it's okay):
The one compromise is the build quality. The housing is entirely plastic, which is clearly a cost-saving measure, but it makes the price point possible. While it feels sturdy enough for careful use, I wouldn't want to drop it. Frankly, for what this unit does, this is a fair trade-off.

Final Verdict:
While the plastic construction holds it back from a perfect score, the sheer utility of the Joyo MoMix is undeniable, and the price is spot on. For any musician who needs to sub-mix instruments, expand the inputs on their amp, or have a versatile practice and recording tool with great quality for live and demo purposes, this is an absolute gem offering incredible value. It has earned a permanent spot in my gig bag.
