This replaces the BetterSax Classic mouthpiece which came with my soprano. I already have a JJ HR* for my alto so had an idea of what to expect. Compared to the Classic this piece replaces, it's night and day. This is easier to play and the tone is so much richer. It also seems quite versatile; I can play softly and delicately, or I can let rip - it seems happy to accommodate both. You probably can't get the extremes of dark or bright on this, but it's the one-quiver all-rounder I was looking for. I knocked one star off because it doesn't come with a mouthpiece cap. Come on Jody Jazz, don't be so stingy!
