A "Super Strat" that provides great tones from the pick ups
Having played single coil guitars in the past (Strat and Tele styles) I was keen to try out humbuckers but still have the single coil option on the guitar it self. I looked at several HSS options over several months but this particular HSH kept drawing me back for another look. I'm so please that I took the plunge with the Ibanez GRX70 as it ticks all the boxes for me.
1 it's not too heavy for a start
2 it has a thin enough neck that is ideal for my small size 7 hands
3 Aesthetically pleasing on the eye, that finish is just gorgeous
4 This has become my go to instrument now as it has a huge variety of tones to mess about with especially when paired to my Peavey Vypyr (also recommended).
5 Thomann themselves I'll highly recommend, they were a breeze to do business with. Would definitely buy from them again one day

perfect step for advancing players
Very nice guitar. Nice variety of sounds available and manageable. Solid structure and it feels light on the hands. I play it for 6 months and it holds well. Other than that I really like this blue color, so it's a 10 from me.

Pretty good guitar
its a great guitar the pickups are very good compared to my other guitar, its not really a big issue as I’ve only noticed it now but the fretboard is slightly darker than the picture. It plays very well and i have played it nearly everyday for about 6 months. And I’ve only had one issue with it. My volume knob was getting loose and i had to tighten it. The tremolo is also pretty good but it goes out of tune if you use it a lot. Great guitar for the price.

Excellent entry level guitar
I have been a professional guitarist for 50 years now and I own some top class guitars. I thought I would add this GRX70QAL to my lefthanded collection. Straight out of the box this guitar looks, feels and plays really well. apart from the modern thing, all manufacturers have, about reversing the taper of the Vol & Tone controls. 0 is full on and 10 fully off ???. My only wish this guitar would be to have a Graphtec top nut fitted as standard. this would cure the tuning problem when using the tremolo bar. I'd pay a little more for that to be fitted as standard. Learners would benefit from it not going ou of tune so much.
