Versatile and sounds great
jdv213 26.09.2024
Thw wong press popped up in my feed and it looked interesting, so I have it a shot as I was drawn to the smaller footprint and multifunctional features. This thing is SO small

My go to wah is a CFH Dimebag Crybaby, but it's huge so this is a great wah to just have on the side /carry in my bag.

Volume Pedal function:

Great - I have zero isues with an uneven swell (as mentioned with the soul version) and it works perfectly as a volume pedal for my application.

Wah:

The wah had a very sweet sweep range and it's a lot of fun to play for a lot of the blues, rock and even metal wah styles. It is a refreshing forced pigeon hole from the various CFH Crybaby sweep settings.

Wah+volume

I need to play with this some more, but yes - sounds great.

EXP Pedal.

Messed around with this on my Boss Delay and a few other pedals and it does what it's supposed to.

Only con for me is that the 9V battery is behind two Phillips screws. It's a minor issue but ease of access would have been nice.

I can see myself getting A LOT of use from this pedal. For the price it is incredible.

Thank you Thomann for another awesome delivery!

Footnote - I don't know a single Tony Wong song, but kudos to him and Hotone

Q knob??
Paul7411 06.11.2024
I ordered a B-stock pedal, the Q knob did nothing, so I sent it back and got another one brand new. Q knob still does nothing!!! I did rma again and had yet another one and again Q know does nothing! I got in touch with Hotone support, they say yes it's subtle and Cory wanted that way. But hey this Q knob does absolutely nothing believe me. Also tested with white noise sent through the pedal and did spectrum analisys, nothing moves. So I don't know what's happening here. Other than that I quite like the pedal and the features. Maybe it's just too small, right your average smartphone dimensions, you need to get used to it. Also if you have a pedalboard with bars (I have a Palmer) it doesn't reach up to three bars but two and a half, so it's not the best to have it stable. Nice built quality, velcro sheet already included in the box. Search for the pedal on YouTube and you'll see my video which demonstrates the Q knob problem.

Great sound, now that the noise is gone
StephenNoel 30.10.2025
I had some initial issues with this pedal, as it was incredibly noisy in Wah-mode (no issues in volume-mode). Turns out it was too close to the AC adapter of my power supply. Some pedalboard-tetris later and it sounds great. Love the sweep on the volume and the sound of the wah-wah.

Zu schön, um wahr zu sein…
ID000000 04.02.2025
