Ich spiele seit einem knappen Jahr Altsax mit einem Selmer Prologue Mundstück. Um das Sax in der Weihnachtszeit unkompliziert spielbereit zu haben, habe ich mich für das Fiberreed Natural Classic entschieden. Anhand der Harry Hartmann Vergleichstabelle viel meine Wahl auf die Stärke soft, die danach sogar etwas fester als mein übliches Vandoren classic blue in 1,5 sein soll. Leider weit gefehlt… Das Blatt überschlägt sich förmlich, ein einigermaßen vernünftiger Ton ist nur mit viel Trickserei möglich (etwas über die Mundstückspitze überstehend, und mit einer dämpfenden Blattschraube montiert). Ein Wechsel zwischen höheren und tieferen Tönen ist trotzdem nur schwer möglich ohne das es quietscht. Einzig die tiefen Töne lassen sich gut spielen und hören. Ich weiß nicht, nach welchen Kriterien die Blattstärken verglichen und empfohlen werden, es kommt in diesem Fall absolut nicht hin. Leider 31€ versenkt.
