I swapped original kidney style grovers from my recently bought 2022 Custom Shop LP Custom, just for that reason, that I tend to more classical look of old LP Custom.. these ones work perfectly as expected and tuning ratio 18:1 is immediately there for fine tuning your LP Custom, you cant go wrong with these, its pricey a little, but you get real premium product!! :) worth every cent

Perfect replacement for Les Paul

I bought these to swap out the existing Grover tuners on my Les Paul Csstom, and it was a perfect, seamless swap. They feel exactly like the original tuners, but with the addition of being locking tuners. Exactly what I was looking for.

Smooth working tuners

The colour on the photo is a but darker than of the real thing but that was great as I needed lighter gold on my Les Paul copy. The locking mechanism operates perfectly, the tuners are smooth for turning. I cannot judge the assembly factor due to my cheap guitar has an awful headstock with crazy holes so had to work a lot to enable build-in. But in my case it was the guitar's issue.
Final verdict: worth the money, recommended for serious guitarists looking for valuiable upgrade of a guitar.

The right tune

I bought a set of these to replace the original tuners on my 2022 Gibson Custom Shop LP which came with the kidney shaped tuners. I was hesitant about fitting them but it was so easy to do and I didn’t even need to use the supplied bag of fitments as the locking tuners are like for like with the Gibson tuners that came with the guitar. I like that the depth on the back where the locking wheel is happens to be the same depth overall as the original Gibson tuners. I weighed the tuners and they are 40g each compared to 44g for the Gibson tuners. Overall, these tuners feel luxury and equal to the Gibson tuners and slightly easier to turn the machine heads. I can highly recommend these replacement tuners to anyone with a Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul.

Excellent quality upgrade

I bought these to fit to my brand new Epiphone 1959 IBG ES 355. They are a simple and easy like for like swap with the factory supplied Grovers. I like locking tuners on all my guitars as they make string changes easy and remove any tuning issues re string slippage. In my humble opinion the tulip shape buttons look fantastic and elevate the already grand appearance of this guitar. By buying these, you also have the choice of swapping them to the kidney bean buttons from the original tuners, so have the best of both worlds. Definitely worth the upgrade!
