I bought two of these. One of them i use on my Gibraltar GSSMS Stealth Side Mount where i changed the pipe (what the stealth side mount came with) for this one and the result is just amazing. This pipe give so much additional space for you drum setup.
The second pipe i use to connect my Gibraltar GSSMS Stealth Side Mount and Gibraltar GSVMS-KIT Vertical Mounting together and now i have my own great drum rack.
This pipe is really amazing for building or expanding your drum rack.

It's a curved pipe. It's chrome

I bought two of these to replace the front pipes on my Roland MDS-9V Drum Rack so I could add an extra couple of pads to my kit. Works a treat (although it is still a bit of a squeeze) it's perfectly interchangeable with the Roland rack and clamps, also the correct size for the Dixon rack clamp.

Tengo un rack de Millenium y la barra frontal era recta, prefería tenerla curva y se adapta perfectamente...llevo meses con ella tocando prácticamente todos los días y no se ha movido 1 mm y los toms ni se menean por muy fuerte que pegues. Muy recomendable.
