Gator ABS Deluxe French Horn Case

Well made indeed. Solid, strong. Good hardware. The photos make it look like the best of Conn, which is why I bought it. BUT.
Inside, my Gator case has at least an inch of space in every direction, largely with no padding. The horn bangs about wildly. No exaggeration. I am one for shortcuts, but this is too much of a bad thing. The case is also clearly too wide for carrying, if you like avoiding muscle cramps and contusions. Cases are for carrying.
The other reviews I read are raves. If authentic, then the makers of my case ripped off Thomann. I was a professional french horn player for 45 years and as a hobby professionally trained and experienced in all types of brass repair.
