It sounds like an improvement, but maybe that's the psychological effect of the weight of the cable. The coil works great although I'm a bit scarred it's so strong wound, it will pull my small tube combo amp of it's stand. Heavy cable, but again not as heavy to make it a discomfort. With my Jazzmaster on top of body connection it works great, but I do need to pay some attention with my telecaster, even when hooking it through the strap first, the cable can pull itself loose or half out because of the weight and/or tension (maybe this last part is wearing of a bit now I've been using it for a few weeks). I would buy it again, because it really feels like a quality cable at a reasonable price.
