Premetto che è il mio primo (e finora anche ultimo) low whistle, quindi non posso paragonarlo con altri strumenti, tuttavia posso dire che ha un bel suono e richiede poca aria per essere suonato.
Ripeterei l’acquisto.

Extraordinary low whistle and incredible service.

I wont say much about the chieftain v5 whistle, because there are many reviews you can watch on youtube. It is a quality whistle and worth every penny. Beyond the build quality and beautiful finish, it has a great tone. In my opinion, it doesn't require as much air as some people say. If you are considering this for your first low whistle, it may take some time to get used to the spacings depending on what whistle you are transitioning from, but this whistle makes it quite easy. All in all a great purchase.

I also want to mention the insanely fast shipping. I live in the US so I was astonished that the whistle arrived within 3 business days. The team at thomann are also very quick to respond and mediate issues with payment. Thanks again!

Great Low D as expected

This is my first low D whistle. I must say it's top quality, the sound is astonishing and very "chiffy". I haven't faced any particular challenge at reaching the last hole using the piper's grip. A couple of recommendations if you're buying one: first, the whistle is made out of bare aluminium so handle it with care if you want to avoid scratches on the surface. Second: get some cork grease as well because the slide has a cork ring.

New to piping; this V5 says to me, "You can do this!"

My Chieftain V5 low D arrived just an hour ago. I can obtain two octaves and get through "Greensleeves". The on-line reviews I've seen agree with my early observations and I look forward to the journey of learning and enjoying this instrument.
