As a voiceover producer, I'm always looking for new tools to help shape & improve my recordings. Noises in narration & dialog are so much more noticeable yet even subtle changes to the timbre of the human can make things sound unnatural right quick. Enter Acoustica, a full-blown dialog processing powerhouse that acts as either a standalone suite, allowing for batch processing and customized signal chains, or as a set of VST/AU plugins for use directly in your DAW of choice. The Extract:Dialog tool would make this worth it alone but the entire suite is all you need to start producing professional-sounding dialog material right now! (BTW, I do own RX9, Nectar 3, and many other vocal processing tools ... these are the best of the bunch)

For me the most impressive feature is speed. Program opens instantly even in older machine (thrashcan Mac Pro for ecample), so Acoustica is first tool to use for me. I have/use also RX11Adv, DSP-Quattro, AmadeusPro, Ocenaudio etc, they all have different strenghts. But if i only can have one, then this will be Acoustica!

Macht was es soll: Bereinigen alter Aufnahmen, Audio CD Erstellung

Ich hatte mir diese Software beschafft zur Nachbearbeitung von über 25 Jahre alten Aufnahmen von klassischer Gitarre aus den Pionierzeiten des Digitalen Recordings in 22 kHz / 8 bit (!).

Obwohl damals für mich im Vergleich zur Analogtechnik phänomenal gut, so sind diese den heutigen Studioansprüchen überhaupt nicht mehr gewachsen. Es gab sehr tieffrequentes Rauschen und auch in den Höhen trat multifrequentes Rauschen auf. An sehr leisen, ca. 2 bis 3 sec dauernden Stellen konnte ich das Rauschen analysieren und den ACON Filter durch die eingebaute "Learn"-Funktion einrichten. Im Prinzip reichen dafür sogar Sekundenbruchteile aus, wo möglichst wenig oder gar keine Musik aufgezeichnet sein soll.

Das Unterdrückungslevel konnte ich manuell eingeben und machte damit 3 verschiedene Korrektur Alternativen über das gesamte CD-Projekt. Die alten 8 bit Aufnahmen waren zudem mit meinem LOGIC-Tonstudio nicht kompatibel. Das ACON Programm aber akzeptierte es und ermöglichte u.a. auch die Konvertierung in 48 kHz / 16 bit. Die ACON-bereinigten 3 St. CD Projekt Alternativen fügte ich anschließend in mein LOGIC-Tonstudio ein zur Beurteilung und weiteren klanglichen und räumlichen Bearbeitung.

All das klappte nach ein paar Std. Einarbeitung wunderbar und problemlos. Wichtig ist, daß grundsätzlich immer an Kopien gearbeitet wird.

Ich glaube ich habe das Produkt damals nicht bei Thomann gekauft. Möchte hier eine Lanze für Acoustica von Acon Digital brechen: Ich habe das Produkt vor langer, gefühlt sehr langer Zeit im Angebot gekauft. Seitdem nutze ich es immer mal wieder, z.B um Ruck-Zuck eben mal die Sample-Rate von samples zu verändern oder aufnahmen, insbesondere alte Aufnahmen zu Restaurieren - und zwar vergleichbar zu Stockplugins von bekannten DAWs, die alle nicht für meine Zwecke prädistiniert sind, zu einer hervorragenden Qualität. Hierfür gibt es auch eine Assistenzfunktion die sehr hilfreich ist. Das Beste ist aber, dass in regelmäßigen Abständen seit Jahren Updates zur Verfügung stehen, die man völlig unkompliziert und !!!ohne zusätzliche Kosten!!! installieren kann. Die Produktpflege ist unschlagbar!!!!
