Very expensive for what you get

I am very disappointed with this case. A single folded sheet of metal with some holes tapped in it and one small PCB. The whole thing is nowhere near worth £135. According the description this box is "powered". That is misleading. It has an DC/DC power adapter in it. You still need to buy a separate 15v power brick with this, which I would have expected to be included for this price.

Super "Aux-Rack"!

In meinem großen Rack wurde der Platz knapp und ich wollte meine 40 TE an Interfacing-Modulen zur Non-Eurorack-Außenwelt auslagern. Da war die Freude groß, als ich die passende Größe für das aktive 4ms Pod gefunden und direkt geordert habe.

Das Case ist solide aufgebaut, die Positionierung des Busboards macht bei der Tiefe Sinn und ist dennoch gut erreichbar. Mit dem passenden Netzteil funktioniert es wunderbar und der Hersteller hat mit dem Daisy-Chaining-System zwischen mehrerer solcher Cases sehr gut mitgedacht. - Erst war ich besorgt, dass ich den falschen Anschluss für das Netzteil wähle, sah dann aber in der Anleitung, dass egal ist, welcher verwendet wird, sofern der jeweils andere dann auch als Verkettungsausgang genutzt wird.

Die Verarbeitung ist zwar solide, jedoch sind die Abstände der Lochleisten zueinander (Distanz zwischen Lochreihe oben zu unten) ziemlich weit, sodass ich ein wenig mit der Hand "klammern" musste, um die Schrauben sauber durch Modul und Lochleiste zu führen. Dies könnte auch an der Kälte gelegen haben und ich befürchte nicht, dass eine große mechanische Spannung auf den Reihen liegt..

Alles in allem würde ich zwar nicht mein ganzes Modularsystem in diese Cases zwängen, da auch diverse Module hierfür zu tief sind, aber für solche Zwecke definitiv wieder in den angebotenen Formaten erwerben!
