L'edizione Grand Symphony Builders è dotata di incatenatura Taylor V-Class, che permette di generare un volume più alto, un sustain prolungato e un'intonazione migliore. Il fondo e le fasce in palissandro garantiscono bassi profondi e brillantezza degli alti. Il top in abete Lutz e la scala dalla lunghezza ridotta contribuiscono a rendere la chitarra dinamica. Il cutaway Soundport offre un effetto simile al riverbero. In quanto al pick-up, è stato utilizzato il sistema attivo piezo ES2 dinamico di Taylor con controlli per bassi, alti e volume.

This is a guitar for a lifetime !
After searching for a long time for the ideal acoustic guitar and owning several “ classic models “ I really believe that the search is over.
The guitar is undeniably a work of art on every aspect . It has a very easy to play neck , it’s enjoyable and not difficult to play even with 13’s.
The craftsmanship is excellent, of course you can’t expect anything but perfect in such an expensive instrument.
But the key element in this guitar is it’s 3D sound, this is a feature I have never experienced before in the past. The guitar produces a beautiful and full spectrum sound with excellent bass. The sound is smooth but also articulate and every note rings well, also when playing chords the string separation is on a different level, it’s something that you have to hear for yourself in order to believe.
Also and maybe the best feature of the guitar is the soundport. This helps the guitar sound fuller and louder than an ordinary one, the sound comes from every direction and I can only describe it in terms it sound like a piano in the room. This is something you can’t hear on videos, you have to experience it for yourself in order to full understand.
In conclusion this is a very expensive guitar but it fully deserves every penny of it’s price. Try it and believe !

Impressive, but a bit strange looking guitar

When first tried, this guitar sounded good. Really good, actually, compared to my other guitar (same wood, different manufacturer) there was much more voice - not the volume (although it is quite loud!), but overall frequency response is very well balanced. Doesn't matter if fingerpicking or stumming, in both cases guitar sounds very good.
However, after plugging it into an amplifier, sound was simply terrible. I did try playing with EQ on amp as well as treble/bass potentiometers on guitar itself, but sound was bad, regardless of what I did. Luckily, after some testing in found, that middle pickup sensor wasn't set properly (should be set from factory, but obviously this wasn't or did loosen through transport) and D/G strings were almost muted. After fixing this (small imbus key), fun began ... Now sounds good also on PA, although many guitars can sound good there. The main reason for selecting this guitar is "unplugged" playing.

Wie bei Thomann üblich sehr schnelle und bestens verpackte Lieferung: Gitarre ausgepackt, gestimmt und angefangen zu spielen. Und wenn es nicht auch noch andere Dinge zu Tun gegeben hätte, wäre ich heute noch damit beschäftigt.
Um es kurz zu sagen: Die beste Gitarre, die ich je in den Händen hielt. Ich kann damit musikalisch genau das umsetzen, was ich mir immer schon gewünscht hatte.
Preislich kein "Schnäppchen" - trotzdem jeden Cent wert.

A ce prix, on a toujours peur d'être déçu mais on a toujours tendance à ne pas le reconnaître. Finalement, non, pas de déception. La projection est excellente (ne me demandez pas si c'est grâce à l'ouie supplémentaire Soundport dans le pan coupé), le son est bien équilibré, chaque note est très pure et les accords ne sonnent jamais brouillon. Le toucher des frettes est agréable. J'aime bien le diapason pas trop long car je joue surtout en finger picking (inversement, cela plairait sans doute moins à ceux qui font de la guitare rythmique et veulent plus de tension dans les cordes) montée en Elixir Nanoweb Custom Light (Taylor recommande des HD Light, je crois, mais je trouve que cela projette trop les graves). Le goût est une affaire de goût mais perso, je n'aime pas les visuels de guitare avec pan coupé (toujours l'impression qu'il leur manque quelque chose) mais la forme de celui-ci me plaît bien (évidemment il ne me permet de monter aussi commodément qu'un pan coupé vénitien tout en haut des aigus ). Finalement, je ne vois qu'un seul bémol : le risque de larsen est un poil plus important (je pense que c'est à cause du système Soundport dans le pan coupé qui met plus facilement les cordes medium grave en résonance avec le retour de scène ou un autre instrument dans l'environnement).
