Good, simple tripod for microphone.

Good tripod, good quality, looks reliable and made from metal. Reliability it's a major in tripod when you use a delicate devices like microphone.

Nice and simple design. However it is not suitable for all applications. For example i use this to attach a field recorder, which works perfectly well. On the other hand i'm also using it as a desktop tripod for my studio microphone on a shock mount. In this case you have to use the screw adjust the angle and tighten it up, but it's impossible with your bare hands. The microphone will fall down. Only using a pliers to tighten it up does the job.
For this money it could be a little better.

Kleiner nützlicher Helfer

Insgesamt sehr handlich, wirkt robust und kann vieles tragen. Ich habe es gekauft, um neben kleineren Mics auch mein Zoom H4n zu tragen - allerdings zeigt sich da eine Schwäche, die einige "Kugelgelenkprodukte" gemein haben: Eine ganz leicht unförmige Kugel.

Dadurch passiert es, daß das festgestellte Gelenk in bestimmten Stellungen trotzdem durchrutscht und sich die Ausrichtung eines Richtrohrs durchaus so stark ändern kann, daß es die Aufnahme versaut.

Man sollte also sehr darauf achten, wie schwer (ein paar Gramm machen schon Unterschiede aus) und groß (Hebelwirkungen) das befestigte Teil ist, und welche Kräfte z.B. durch ein dickeres XLR-Kabel auf das Gelenk wirken.

Paßt man da insgesamt auf, erfüllt der günstige kleine Helfer durchaus seinen Zweck.
