I have been using an audio technica at vm 95sh, which is a very good cartridge for the price. I purchased the ortofon concorde music bronze and after a few hours break in i am very pleased with the quality of this cartridge. Firstly being a concorde it's simple to set up, no alignment just tracking weight, 1.8g and anti skate. Sound wise I'm noticing more detail up top, neutral midrange and nice extended but tight controlled bass. On my system the cart sounds slightly on the warm side, which is what I was hoping for. Not a night and day difference from the audio technica but a definite sonic upgrade. Great price at thomann and quick delivery.
